Jakarta, August 12, 2026 — FKG Corporation, a company from Kumamoto, Japan, is participating in the Indo Waste & Recycling Expo 2026 taking place from August 11–13, 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.

FKG Corporation's participation is part of efforts to introduce technology from Japan in the environmental sector through waste processing to the Indonesian market, particularly in the field of civil engineering materials that support the circular economy, carbon emission reduction, and sustainable development.

At the exhibition, FKG Corporation occupies Booth C3-20/C3-21 in Hall C3 alongside several innovative companies from Japan originating from Kyushu Island. This exhibition also serves as a space to connect business actors, stakeholders, technology partners, and potential business partners to open up collaboration opportunities in the environmental and sustainable technology sectors.

Turning Waste into Valuable Material

One of the innovations introduced by FKG Corporation is high-quality civil engineering material produced by utilizing recycled materials, namely coal ash waste and biomass combustion ash.

This approach aligns with the principles of the circular economy, which is to optimize resources that were previously considered waste so that they can add value to development.

FKG technology is also directed to support disaster resilience, CO₂ emission reduction, and resource circulation. With this approach, the utilization of recycled materials not only becomes a solution to environmental issues but also has the potential to contribute to the development of more sustainable infrastructure.

Opening Opportunities for Japan–Indonesia Collaboration

FKG Corporation's participation in the Indo Waste & Recycling Expo 2026 is not just an event to introduce products and technology, but also a momentum to build communication and explore cooperation with various parties in Indonesia. FKG has collaborated with research institutions in Indonesia, namely the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at ITB, related to the trial of road construction on the ITB Jatinangor Campus using a gravel product named Okageishi, utilizing raw materials from coal ash waste.

The collaboration between FKG Corporation and ITB is facilitated by the Indonesia Japan Business Network (IJBNet) under the coordination of Dr. Salim Mustofa, Secretary General of IJBNet, who is also a senior researcher at BRIN, and is one of several research or business collaborations between Indonesia and Japan promoted by IJBNet in Indonesia.

Indonesia has a significant need for infrastructure development, environmental management, and more efficient resource utilization. On the other hand, Japan has experience and technology that can be developed through partnerships with companies and institutions in Indonesia.

Therefore, the presence of FKG Corporation in Indonesia is expected to open opportunities for technology transfer, business development, investment cooperation, and collaboration in the field of environmentally friendly materials and sustainable development.

Through participation in the Indo Waste & Recycling Expo 2026, FKG Corporation reaffirms its commitment to contribute to the creation of environmental solutions that are not only focused on waste management but also generate economic benefits and support long-term development.

FKG Corporation — Japanese technology for sustainable solutions, towards a circular economy and a more resilient future for Indonesia.
